Business Development Manager – Growth Systems | $100K–$120K Base + Super | $190K+ OTE | Brisbane (Hybrid)
Sell a model that’s already proven. Close in two meetings. Get in early on the next vertical.
This business started with a question real estate agencies kept asking: how is that property management business growing so fast?
The answer was a model. Onshore people backed by skilled offshore teams in the Philippines, with the business’s workflows rebuilt around them. One property manager running around 300 properties instead of the usual 150.
Other agencies wanted to copy it. So the founder built a separate company to help them do exactly that.
Three and a half years later, it has placed around 1,200 offshore professionals, serves 750+ agency clients, and holds 89% client retention.
Now the same model is moving into mortgage broking. And the fit is obvious. Most brokerages don’t run out of leads. They run out of hours. Processing, lodgement, compliance and lender follow-ups eat the time a broker should spend writing loans. Hand that to a trained processor who already knows Mercury, ApplyOnline and BrokerEngine, and the principal’s capacity changes.
Broking is still an early vertical for this business. There’s one seller in it today. You’ll be the second, joining while the client base, the playbook and the reputation in the broker market are still being built. 2027 targets are big, so the plan is simple: get you ramped before Christmas and closing when it counts.
Why This Role?
$100K–$120K base + super, $190K+ OTE at target
$30–40K TCV per deal. Close a 24-month deal and your commission doubles.
Short cycle. Two meetings, signed inside four weeks. You see the result of your work fast.
Early in a new vertical: you help shape how this sells to brokers, not inherit a script someone else wrote
A pitch with proof behind it. The model runs live inside the founder’s own business, and 750+ real estate clients back it up.
Economics a principal gets immediately: a junior processor in Australia costs around $80K; an experienced offshore professional, a fraction of that
You report to a sales leader who has run this exact Zoom-led motion before and is building the B2B playbook now
What You’ll Actually Do
Run 30-minute discovery calls on Zoom or Teams with brokerage principals. Find where processing and admin are capping the deals they write.
Close in the follow-up meeting. Most deals land inside four weeks.
Sell the growth-partner story (process restructure, right processor, 90-day implementation) and win on value against cheaper offshore providers
Push contract length: 12 months as standard, 24 when the client’s ready for it
Scope the right level of setup and implementation support for each brokerage
Feed back what’s landing with brokers and what isn’t, so the broking playbook gets sharper every month
Build your name across the broker market through referrals, relationships and results
Keep your pipeline tight. This is a volume seat: around 10 closes a month once you’re ramped.
Who This Suits
You don’t need a broking background. What matters is a record of closing at volume, and the numbers to prove it.
You’ve hit targets in a high-volume, closing role. B2C or SMB, either works. Bring the numbers.
You’re confident and credible on camera with business owners. Selling over Zoom before is a big plus.
You diagnose before you pitch. Find the pain, then close on it.
You hold your price. Value wins, discounting doesn’t.
You’re creative and determined. When a deal stalls, you find another way in.
You’d rather help build a vertical than walk into a finished one.
Exposure to the broker world (aggregators, broker tech, broker services) or selling an ROI-justified service to SMB owners helps, but it’s not essential. If you’ve only managed broker relationships and never carried a new-business number, this isn’t the seat. Hunger and a proven close rate matter more.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most offshore staffing sales is a race to the lowest hourly rate. This business plays a different game: a model proven in a real business, then implemented properly in yours. That’s why it holds premium pricing, and why clients stay.
For you, that means conversations with principals about capacity and margin, not haggling over rates. Short cycles. Clear commission maths. And a chance to get in early on a vertical that’s only just opening up.
The timing matters too. Ramp before Christmas, hit your stride as 2027 targets land.
