Head of Marketing | My Occ Health Record (MOHR) | Take MOHR's category to market | Melbourne (Hybrid)
Profitable. Proven. Innovative.
MOHR has created a new category in occupational health, and it's growing fast. Not one onboarded client has left, the sales team is scaling, and the plan is to triple ARR over the next three years.
The marketing function is in its early stages. Your job is to turn it into an engine that delivers.
In high-risk industries, managing workforce health is often reactive, fragmented and buried in paperwork. MOHR replaces that with one record per worker, covering every stage from pre-employment through to surveillance, injury, claims, wellbeing and psychosocial risk. HR, Health & Safety, Medical and Risk teams across mining, construction, utilities, transport and government all work from it.
The foundations of marketing are in place. The brand has just been redesigned and the strategy is set. MOHR funds itself, so there's no investor timeline and the function has room to be built properly instead of rushed.
You'll report to the founder and CEO. Before MOHR, he grew a health services business to 250 people and sold it, and his leadership team stayed with him for close to ten years. He gives people room once they've shown what they can do.
Why this role?
$150K to $180K base + super, for a leader who still enjoys doing the work.
A clear link to growth. With ARR set to triple, your job is to build demand as well as a brand.
Your own team from day one: a graphic designer and an incoming Marketing Coordinator, with room to add more.
No incumbent to position against, so the story MOHR tells becomes the story the market uses.
A creative strategy lead in your corner who shapes direction while you own execution.
What you'll be doing
Turn the strategy into a delivery plan with dates, owners and a level of detail you're proud of.
Take MOHR's category to market: positioning, messaging and putting the refreshed brand in front of the right buyers.
Build demand across enterprise, government and partnerships, with campaigns and content that turn interest into pipeline.
Own LinkedIn, digital, social, brand and content week to week.
Write the copy yourself. The words need to come from you.
Create collateral that helps the growing sales team win.
Use AI to build the engine: automation, workflows, lead scoring and reporting that show what's driving pipeline.
Develop the designer and coordinator, and shape who joins next.
Challenge ideas that won't work in market, and make the good ones practical.
Spend real time in the South Melbourne office alongside sales and Customer Solutions, close to customer conversations.
Who you are
A Head of Marketing title is a bonus, not a requirement. The real test is whether you've delivered: plans shipped, launches out the door, and a function that kept running after you set it up.
You've built marketing in a growing B2B company, from the systems and cadence through to the reporting.
You've linked marketing to pipeline and revenue, not just reach.
Strong writing is your edge, and you can show copy you wrote yourself.
You're ahead of the curve on AI in marketing operations, whether that's automation, workflows or scoring, and you keep it out of the writing.
You've managed people, even a small team, and helped them grow.
You do the work yourself rather than leaving delivery to agencies.
You back your view, and you can disagree with an exec or a strategy lead without damaging the relationship.
Your career is built on long stints, not quick moves.
You're based in Melbourne and happy in the office at least 3 days a week, more while you're settling in.
Bonus points for B2B SaaS, launches or category creation, selling into enterprise or government, or a background in health tech, HR tech or EHS. None of these are must-haves. How you deliver, write and make calls counts for more.
Why it's worth a look
A lot of marketing leaders end up either executing someone else's plan with no influence, or owning a strategy they never get the resources to deliver. Here you get a strong creative partner, a refreshed brand, a loyal client base and a founder who's in it for years, not quarters.
There's no template for marketing a category this new. You'll be creating the first version.
A note on AI: MOHR wants a marketer who uses it to automate, build workflows and score leads. It doesn't want AI writing the copy.
