Beam builds AI for frontline human services. Beam Notes takes the note-taking and admin off social workers, clinicians and support staff so they spend their time on people rather than paperwork. More than 100,000 frontline workers use it across the UK, US and Australia.

The business is backed by the founders of Booking.com, Calm, Shazam and Dropbox, and is raising a Series B.

Australia is the newest market and is already live with Life Without Barriers. The buyers are state and federal government departments, large not-for-profits and NDIS providers. Long procurement, a lot of stakeholders, real scrutiny. Australian data is stored and processed onshore and the platform is ISO 27001 certified, which is usually the answer to the first objection in the room.

Customer success in Australia is early. You would be helping build the function, not joining a finished one.

What you'll actually do

• Take the account over from the AE the day the pilot contract is signed

• Run onboarding and implementation, remote and on site

• Train frontline users, often in rooms of 20 to 50 people

• Work the usage data and figure out what is landing and what is not

• Lead the pilot evaluation. Gather the benchmark data, build the case, present it to senior stakeholders

• Convert pilots into long-term contracts and grow the accounts from there

• Write the proposals and handle the commercial conversations

• Feed what you learn on the frontline back into product and the Australian go-to-market plan

Who this suits

You don't need a customer success title. What matters is whether you have owned a commercial outcome on an account you did not open yourself.

• You have run the full lifecycle on enterprise or public sector accounts, through to expansion rather than renewal administration

• You present well live. This job pitches evaluation results to executives at large not-for-profits and government departments

• You are comfortable with no playbook and with priorities that move

• You want commercial ownership without building pipeline from scratch every quarter

• Experience in human services, NDIS, aged care, health or government helps. Genuine interest in the work matters more.

Customer success experience helps, but a lot of the people who do well here came from a full-cycle sales seat and wanted to stay with the customer after the close.

• Accounts that grow after the first signature rather than sitting flat

• An Australian customer success playbook someone else could pick up and run

Why this one is different

Most customer success roles hand the growth back to sales the moment there is real money on the table. Here you keep it, and you are paid on it.

The part worth saying plainly: this is hands-on. Australia is early, so you will be in the detail making things work rather than managing a process someone else built. There is travel, and some overlap with UK hours.

If you want a tidy book of renewals, this is the wrong role. If you want to own accounts end to end in a market still being built, it is a good one.
