Founding Community Lead | GTM ANZ | $90K Base, $120K OTE | Melbourne or Sydney

Australia and New Zealand are full of world-class sales, marketing, revenue and growth leaders. There is still no single room where they all meet. Your job is to build that room.

GTM ANZ is a new community brand operated by Pointer, and you would not be starting from zero. Pointer already runs a weekly webinar program for go-to-market leaders, communities with hundreds of active sales, RevOps and partnerships people in them, a regular calendar of executive dinners, and an open resource library. What's missing is one person who wakes up every morning owning all of it.

That's the founding part. You're the first dedicated hire. The calendar, the partnerships, the tone of the whole thing: yours to shape. In two years, when someone in ANZ tech says "the GTM community", the thing they're describing is the thing you built.

This is equal parts sales, marketing, events and relationship-building, and very much a role for someone who likes making things happen.

The deal

• $90K base plus $40K variable

• Melbourne preferred, Sydney works. The dinners are in person, so you need to be where the leaders are.

• The founding seat: first dedicated hire on a community with real momentum, backed by Pointer's brand and network

What you'll do

• Run intimate leadership dinners for sales, marketing, revenue and growth executives, and curate every seat. Twelve of the right people beats forty of the wrong ones.

• Own the weekly webinar program: hosts, speakers, topics, promotion, follow-through.

• Build partnerships with communities, companies and industry organisations, and turn them into co-hosted events.

• Identify, invite and build genuine relationships with the region's best operators, as speakers and as members.

• Grow the GTM ANZ brand through events, partnerships, content and whatever creative plays you can dream up. Experimentation is the job, not a side of it.

• Become the connector. The person GTM leaders across ANZ message when they need an intro, a speaker, or a room.

You'll thrive here if you

• Have real energy and a bias for action. Things happen because you made them happen.

• Are entrepreneurial and resourceful, and comfortable being handed a mission instead of a playbook.

• Can sell an idea, market an event, and hold a long-term relationship. This role is all three, every week.

• Are organised without needing structure built around you.

• Care about the quality of the experience, not just the headcount in the room.

• Want to end up genuinely, personally connected to the ANZ go-to-market ecosystem. That network is yours to keep for the rest of your career.

You don't need community or events experience. If you have at least two years of professional experience and the judgement and motivation to make things happen, we want to hear from you.

The part most job ads leave out

Community building is a grind before it's glamorous. There are evenings out, speakers who cancel, venues that fall through, and weeks where you're chasing RSVPs one message at a time. You'll be a team of one for this brand, with Pointer's team around you. And you'll be selling constantly: to speakers, to partners, to busy executives who get invited to everything. If that list reads as fun rather than frightening, you're who we're looking for.

What success looks like

• First 90 days: you've met the community, run your first dinners and webinars on the existing engine, and signed your first partner.

• 6 months: a calendar people plan around, a webinar program with a waitlist of speakers, and co-hosted events running.

• 12 months: GTM ANZ has a regular calendar of sought-after leadership dinners, a consistent weekly webinar, a growing network of partners, and a reputation as the home of Australia and New Zealand's go-to-market community.
